U.S.S. Coronado, 10th Anniversary Edition
In the late 1990s and early 2000s Star Trek role-playing on IRC was a big part of my life. One of the games that has had the longest-lasting impact on me was U.S.S. Coronado. August of this year marks the 10th anniversary of the end of the game, and to celebrate the lasting friendships that formed and the great times we’ve shared, I wanted to create a new rendition of the 3D model I made in 2003.
For those familiar with Mark Kingsnorth’s Insignia class, this is not the same ship. Mark’s work and my work are both based off of a thumbnail sketch by Rick Sternbach in the back of the Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual. The first post has more historical detail, but here’s a development timeline infographic:
This project is IN PROGRESS.

If you prefer, you can also follow this project’s progress on SciFi-Meshes and Foundation 3D, where I first posted much of this content. The posts are in ascending order, with the first post at the top and the last post containing the most recent updates.
